That’s an equation I hope not to repeat again soon. 2 large cups of McDonalds coffee after 2 in the afternoon. It’s no surprise that I awoke at 2am.
As I lie there reviewing the events of the previous day, I come up with a great title for my next blog (not this one, but the next one). What the heck, I write the whole blog in my head. I hope I remember the good stuff well enough to capture the experiences of our trip into town Tuesday.
Whats your limit for laying awake in bed? Mine is 90 minutes. I decide to mini blog plus fill my growling tummy. Apparently the big bowl of pop corn I ate for supper was not recognized as proper nourishment by my gullet. Either that or all meals are typically digested 8 hours later.
So, it’s now 3:23. That translates to 6:23 where my sister is, she’s probably having her 2nd cup of coffee after her morning jog. It’s close to 5:30 where my kids are, they’re probably brewing their coffee ’bout now. My friend Judy in WY is probably laying there listening to the wake up call of her rooster.
My body clock is a lil out of whack. I’m already fantasizing about where I shall nap in the sunshine today, say about 2pm.
Its deathly quiet here at this hour. No road noise, no city sounds. Whatever animals prowl our yard at this hour are really quiet. The sound of my husbands exhausted snores are a welcome reminder that I’m not alone for this part of my journey. Without him in my life, my blogs would be pretty mundane. Maybe I’ll crawl back in bed and be awake long enough to say my prayers of gratitude..
